Richard "SEEN" Mirando

The Godfather of Graffiti and member of the United Artists (UA) crew along with DUSTER, PJ, MAD, MED, AZ ONE, SIN. He started to paint trains in the early 1970’s creating dozens of murals and wholecars throughout the 1970’s and 80’s. He was especially prominent on the 2, 4, 5 and 6 subway lines and was among the early artists who put their art onto canvases and was part of the landmark show, “New York, New Wave - 1981” which also featured Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. He acheived worldwide fame in the 1980's when featured in the photobooks Subway Art and Spraycan Art and on film in the documentary Style Wars. His work is held in museums and major private collections throughout the world.
