First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Stanley Chapman illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and tight, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a previous owner's name and date to the front free endpaper, a small bookseller's label to the rear pastedown and some spotting to the closed text block edge are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked price-clipped dustwrapper that is toned to the spine.

A collection of short stories, the last of which is a postmodern pastiche of Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo. 'Ti con zero' was first published in Italy in 1967.
